|William W. Nolan
William Nolan’s primary practice involves all aspects of disputes between debtors and creditors including reorganization and liquidation bankruptcies, commercial litigation, and general business planning. He also has extensive experience in real estate and business law matters including foreclosure, contract disputes, and enforcement of judgments.
Mr. Nolan received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Hastings College of Law in 1976, and was admitted to the State Bar of California the same year. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkley in 1973. Mr. Nolan has been with the firm since 1977. He served as a managing partner from 1982 until 2010 when he was named Of Counsel.
Mr. Nolan is actively involved in the Sacramento and surrounding communities, dedicating both his time and energy to various foundations and institutions. He has served on the Board of Trustees for several foundations, including the Sacramento Salvation Army from 1984 until 1986, and the Stanford Home for Children from 1985 until 1987. Mr. Nolan has served on the Board of Trustees for Christian Brothers High School since 2007, where he is the current Board Chair. He has also served on the Board of Trustees for the University California Press Foundation since 2008.
